Racing Incident Report
ALWAYS ZIETEN was slow to begin and then despite being ridden along failed to muster speed and as a consequence travelled in a midfield position. From a wide barrier, HOLD HANDS was taken across behind runners in the early stages. After passing the winning post on the first occasion, EXPEDITIOUS, which was racing wide and without cover, was taken back to a position behind SPACED. Making the first turn, CHINOOK proved difficult to settle. At the 1100 Metres, HOLD HANDS was steadied away from the heels of MEATH. Approaching the turn at the 1000 Metres, TRAVEL LEADER commenced to hang in and was awkwardly placed outside the heels of KING OF FISH. Near the 150 Metres, CHINOOK was steadied away from the heels of MEATH (K Shea) which when experiencing some difficulty in obtaining clear running was shifted in. K Shea was advised to exercise greater care. For the major part of the race, SPACED travelled wide and without cover. SPACED and CHINOOK were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of SPACED and CHINOOK after the race did not show any significant findings. HOLD HANDS and KING OF FISH were sent for sampling.
