Racing Incident Report

TOM'S SIX and FIVE GRAINS were slow to begin. Shortly after the start, JADE DRAGONFLY and FULL OF JOY were crowded for room inside ALBERTINELLI which shifted in. At the 350 Metres, TOM'S SIX was steadied and blundered when disappointed for running between EVERGREEN and RICE FIELD (D Whyte) which shifted in. FIVE GRAINS, which was following, was steadied in consequence. D Whyte was advised to exercise care. At the 100 Metres, ALBERTINELLI was bumped by JADE DRAGONFLY which at this time improved into a narrow run on the inside of that horse and on the outside of LUCKYME. Throughout the race, HERE WE GO travelled wide and without cover. M W Leung (PRETTY TRIO) said from the outside barrier it was felt if he pushed the horse forward, it would be left racing wide and without cover as the horse did not have sufficient speed to cross runners on its inside. He said for this reason he was instructed to allow PRETTY TRIO to drop back and ensure it obtained cover. RICE FIELD was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of RICE FIELD after the race did not show any significant findings. JADE DRAGONFLY and LUCKYME were sent for sampling.
