Racing Incident Report
BULLISH WIN began awkwardly. On jumping, SHANGDONG GENERAL, which had been a little slow to begin, was crowded for room between OUR LUCKY BABY and SUPER GENKI. In the early stages, GRAND STORE proved difficult to settle and FORTUNE WHEEL was taken across behind runners. After the 800 Metres, FORTUNE WHEEL was checked when awkwardly placed close to the heels of BULLISH WIN. At the 750 Metres, SHANGDONG GENERAL became unbalanced when being steadied away from the heels of GRAND STORE (D Whyte) which initially shifted in when not properly clear and then after crossing to race outside LUCKY HERO was steadied. D Whyte was severely reprimanded and told he would be expected in similar circumstances to make a greater effort to protect his fellow riders. At the 700 Metres, OUR LUCKY BABY, which was proving difficult to settle, was steadied away from the heels of GRAND STORE and shifted to a three wide position. At the 150 Metres, SHANGDONG GENERAL, which was endeavouring to improve into a narrow run on the inside of LUCKY HERO (M Nunes), was crowded for room when that horse shifted in slightly. As a result, SHANGDONG GENERAL was disappointed for running. M Nunes was told to exercise greater care. SHANGDONG GENERAL, LUCKY HERO and SUPER GENKI were sent for sampling.
