Racing Incident Report

WIN AGAIN, which had been fractious in its stall, was slow to begin. Approaching the turn at the 600 Metres, KINGIFLY hung out and was awkwardly placed close to the heels of ALWAYS WELCOME, then after the 600 Metres was steadied away from the heels of ALWAYS WELCOME. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, GOOD TO GO became unbalanced and lost ground after being bumped by FLYING SPRINTER which shifted in slightly after being bumped by RAINBOW OASIS. Making the Home Turn, RAINBOW OASIS hung out. At the 200 Metres, ALWAYS WELCOME was momentarily steadied when having difficulty obtaining clear running between CLASSA FOR EVER and GOOD TO GO. At the 150 Metres, DR POSSI, which was commencing to close the race off strongly, was steadied to avoid the heels of RAINBOW OASIS which when giving ground shifted in. At the 100 Metres, SOLAR MIGHTY was carried wider by ZAVONE which shifted to the outside of FLYING SPRINTER to continue going forward. When questioned, Y T Cheng (ZAVONE) explained due to another runner being fractious resulting in a delay to the start, ZAVONE as it did at its last start began awkwardly and got its head up. He said it was not intentional to have ZAVONE travelling as far back as it was tonight, however, by the time the horse became balanced, it had lost a considerable amount of ground. RAINBOW OASIS was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of RAINBOW OASIS after the race did not show any significant findings. GOOD TO GO and ZAVONE were sent for sampling.
