Racing Incident Report

DOUBLE FANTASY began awkwardly and lost ground at the start. In the early stages, when being ridden to obtain a forward position, FRIENDS FOREVER got its head on the side and hung out. At the 800 Metres, LUCKY CORDELIA was momentarily crowded for room inside AMBITION which shifted in slightly. DOUBLE FANTASY, which was following AMBITION, got its head on the side when awkwardly placed close to the heels of that horse and shifted out. Approaching the 200 Metres, LUCKY CORDELIA was steadied and shifted in when awkwardly placed close to the heels of SUNRISE LINING which commenced to tire, then for a short distance afterwards was hampered when close to the heels of CELESTIAL WONDER which shifted out slightly. DOUBLE FANTASY hung in in the Straight. When questioned regarding MOSHI MOSHI leading, Trainer J Moore stated the instructions he issued to F Coetzee today were the same as those which he issued to the rider of MOSHI MOSHI at its most recent start. However, on that occasion despite being ridden along MOSHI MOSHI was not able to take up as forward a position as he had hoped. When questioned regarding the improved performance of MOSHI MOSHI, Mr Moore stated in his opinion the "Good to Yielding" track conditions today were the principal factor in the horse's improved showing. He said whilst he believed MOSHI MOSHI would benefit by the track conditions, he did not fancy the horse strongly today and advised the connections accordingly. He added as such the overnight shortening of betting odds on MOSHI MOSHI was not stable inspired. AS YOU WISH, MOSHI MOSHI and COP HILL LAD were sent for sampling.
