Racing Incident Report

After arriving at the Start, the tongue tie fitted to NATURAL BLITZ was replaced. GREEN BIRDIE was slow to begin. At the 1000 Metres, REGENCY HORSE was steadied to avoid the heels of ADAIKALI (A Delpech) which shifted in when not properly clear. A Delpech was reprimanded and told to exercise greater care. After the 800 Metres, REGENCY HORSE was left racing wide without cover. After the 400 Metres, GREEN BIRDIE was steadied when disappointed for running between ABLE PRINCE and COUNTY MUSIC. At the 300 Metres and again after the 200 Metres, ABLE PRINCE was steadied when having difficulty obtaining clear running between PLANET RULER and BILLET EXPRESS which when giving ground got its head on the side and shifted out. Near the 200 Metres, GREEN BIRDIE was shifted to the outside of REGENCY HORSE to continue going forward. Just prior to the winning post, ADAIKALI was carried in by SACRED KINGDOM which shifted in away from MY CHOICE which in turn shifted in away from GREEN BIRDIE. D Nikolic (SACRED KINGDOM) said the horse raced further forward today due to its more favourable barrier. He said SACRED KINGDOM did not in his opinion over-race and travelled comfortably until making the Home Turn. He said when he shifted SACRED KINGDOM to the outside of ADAIKALI, the horse did not feel that it was going to finish the race off in the manner in which it had previously. He said despite this SACRED KINGDOM responded to his riding and only gave ground in the final strides. SACRED KINGDOM, MEDIC POWER and GREEN BIRDIE were sent for sampling.
