Racing Incident Report

MIRACLE DRAGON, AS YOU WISH and KING OF SPADES were slow to begin. From a wide gate, CHALLENGER was taken across behind runners in the early stages. Despite being ridden along in the early stages, A PLUS FIT failed to muster speed. Approaching the 1400 Metres, MIRACLE DRAGON got its head on the side and was awkwardly placed inside the heels of LUCKY CORDELIA. At the 800 Metres, MIRACLE DRAGON was steadied away from the heels of CHARMING SPEEDY which itself was steadied when crowded for room inside LUCKY CORDELIA which got its head on the side and hung in momentarily. KING OF SPADES, which was following, was hampered in consequence. After the 600 Metres, MIRACLE DRAGON was steadied away from the heels of SINOSPIEL. On straightening, SINOSPIEL became unbalanced when bumped by LUCKY CORDELIA which at this time shifted to the outside of MAIN ATTRACTION into clear running. MIRACLE DRAGON, which was following, was steadied when awkwardly placed close to the heels of SINOSPIEL. From the 300 Metres until after the 200 Metres, KING OF SPADES was held up and unable to improve. At the 250 Metres, LUCKY CORDELIA was steadied away from the heels of AS YOU WISH which shifted in when barely clear. In the Straight, COME HO CHOI hung in. For the major part of the race, DANSING FUN hung in. GLOBAL WAY and DANSING FUN were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of GLOBAL WAY and DANSING FUN after the race did not show any significant findings. MIRACLE DRAGON, COME HO CHOI and AS YOU WISH were sent for sampling.
Additional Veterinary Reports (released on 25 May 2007)
DANSING FUN, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said at that time there were no significant findings. DANSING FUN was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer A T Millard this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in the left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, DANSING FUN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
