Racing Incident Report

KING OF SPADES was slow to muster speed. Shortly after the start, DOUBLE FANTASY was steadied when momentarily crowded for room inside TABBRIS which got its head on the side and shifted in. In the early stages, DOUBLE FANTASY proved difficult to settle. Approaching the turn at the 800 Metres, MOSHI MOSHI, which had been ridden along to obtain a forward position, got its head on the side and hung in. At the 800 Metres, MUTUAL GAIN was steadied away from the heels of MOSHI MOSHI. For a considerable distance after the 800 Metres, DOUBLE FANTASY lost ground when following DANSING FUN which at this time despite being ridden along was not able to maintain its position. Near the 600 Metres, DOUBLE FANTASY was shifted to a three wide position from behind DANSING FUN. From on straightening until after the 300 Metres, KING OF SPADES was held up and unable to obtain clear running. For a considerable distance approaching and passing the 300 Metres, DANSING FUN was steadied to avoid the heels of AS YOU WISH which was giving ground. After the 200 Metres, DOUBLE FANTASY got its head on the side and hung in. Near the winning post, EUPHORIC KID was momentarily steadied away from the heels of KING OF SPADES which when closing the race off strongly was shifted to the outside of DOUBLE FANTASY to continue going forward. CHINA SPORTFIELD was sent for an official veterinary inspection and sampling. A veterinary inspection of CHINA SPORTFIELD after the race did not show any significant findings. TABBRIS and SHATIN WIN WIN were sent for sampling.
