Racing Incident Report
GREEN BIRDIE was slow to begin. FAT CHOY FOREVER and SUPER PEGASUS began awkwardly. Shortly after the start, ABLE CHOICE was steadied when crowded for room between SACRED KINGDOM and ALBERTINELLI. After the 200 Metres, LIBERAL'S KNIGHT was inconvenienced by FAT CHOY FOREVER which at this time shifted in. For the major part of the race, ALBERTINELLI hung in. S Dye (GREEN BIRDIE), which was having its first race start in Hong Kong, explained he rode his mount out vigorously hands and heels until after the 100 Metres when he pulled the whip and hit the horse on two occasions. He said GREEN BIRDIE did not respond when hit with the whip, he therefore again rode his mount out hands and heels in the run to the line. BULB KING was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of BULB KING after the race did not show any significant findings. SACRED KINGDOM and FRIENDLY GAINS were sent for sampling.
