Racing Incident Report
JET RISE was slow to begin and then lost further ground when bumped by A BETTER DRAGON which shifted out abruptly. MAKE YOU JEALOUS and GOOD TRIO were slow to begin. Making the turn at the 700 Metres, JET RISE was steadied when awkwardly placed inside the heels of WONDERFUL BOY. Also making the turn at the 700 Metres, NAUGHTY BOY got its head up and shifted out. Shortly after this, NAUGHTY BOY shifted in slightly, causing inconvenience to SIMPLY THE BEST which was racing on its inside. GOOD TRIO, which was following SIMPLY THE BEST, was steadied in consequence. Shortly after straightening, GOOD TRIO was steadied and shifted to the outside of SIMPLY THE BEST into clear running. Over the last 200 Metres, GOOD TRIO hung in. After the 100 Metres, PLEASURE PLEASURE was struck under the jaw by the whip of Apprentice H W Lai (WIN FORTUNE). For the major part of the race, WIN FORTUNE, which was racing wide and without cover, hung in. SIMPLY THE BEST was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of SIMPLY THE BEST after the race did not show any significant findings. TIMBER CITY and GOOD TRIO were sent for sampling.
