Racing Incident Report
GREAT FORTUNE was slow to begin. PRIME MOVER began awkwardly and lost ground. Making the turn after the 700 Metres, RAINBOW EXPRESS hung out. Approaching the 600 Metres, SUPER commenced to give ground. As a consequence of this, GLOBE RIVER and CONSTELLATION which were following were held up for a considerable distance and also lost ground. Prior to straightening, PRIME MOVER was crowded for room between NOBLE ZOOM and SUPER which at this time shifted out. In the early part of the Straight, CONSTELLATION had difficulty obtaining clear running inside GLOBE RIVER which at this time got its head on the side and hung in, then over the final 200 Metres did not obtain clear running and as a consequence was not tested. Throughout the race, WIN FORTUNE travelled wide and without cover. WIN FORTUNE was sent for an official veterinary inspection and sampling. SUPER was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of WIN FORTUNE after the race did not show any significant findings. Following the race, Mr C W Chang, trainer of SUPER, reported after cooling down back at the stables SUPER was stiff behind. The performance of SUPER, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, SUPER will have to perform competitively in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. NOBLE ZOOM and TRIUMPHANT GLORY were sent for sampling.
