Racing Incident Report

After arriving at the Start, the tongue tie fitted to CHEERFUL MASTER was replaced. CHEERFUL MASTER, which was standing with its head turned to the left, was slow to begin. ENGINEERING WONDER was slow to begin. In the early and middle stages, BLUE GENES raced wide and without cover, then in the Straight gave ground. BLUE GENES was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, BLUE GENES was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said the horse was lame in the left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, BLUE GENES will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Entering the Back Straight, YELLOW DIAMOND became unbalanced and blundered. D Whyte reported following this YELLOW DIAMOND was reluctant to stretch out and as he was of the opinion the horse had gone amiss, he eased the horse down from the 600 Metres. When YELLOW DIAMOND was eased down, NOBLE MAN was steadied to avoid the heels of that runner. YELLOW DIAMOND was sent for an official veterinary inspection and sampling. After the race, YELLOW DIAMOND was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said there were no significant findings. Before being permitted to race again, YELLOW DIAMOND will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Near the 800 Metres, SANZIRO became unbalanced after being bumped by EXPECTATIONS which got its head on the side and shifted in momentarily. From on straightening until the 200 Metres, ENGINEERING WONDER was held up and unable to obtain clear running. Throughout the race, CONESTOGA raced wide and without cover. NOBLE MAN and SANZIRO were sent for sampling.
