Racing Incident Report
GOOD PROFIT bounded in the air at the start and lost ground. On jumping, SILVER SUN got its head up, shifted out abruptly and as a consequence lost ground. Shortly after the start, SAN LORENZO and BUMPER BUMPER were checked when crowded for room between FOKINE which shifted out slightly and FIGURES which shifted in abruptly. In the early stages, TRIUMPHANT UNICORN proved difficult to settle, then making the turn after the 800 Metres got its head on the side, hung out and travelled without cover. At the 400 Metres, FOKINE was steadied when disappointed for running between FIGURES which was giving ground and SAN LORENZO which shifted out to obtain clear running. Shortly after this, FIGURES was steadied to avoid the heels of SAN LORENZO which when improving towards the outside of MY CHOICE was carried wider by that horse. No action was taken. Approaching the 350 Metres, GOOD PROFIT was not able to obtain clear running when racing inside BUMPER BUMPER and behind TOWN OF FIONN. To obtain clear running after the 350 Metres, GOOD PROFIT was steadied and shifted to the inside of TOWN OF FIONN, then became awkwardly placed close to the heels of FOKINE and was shifted in further. Over the final 50 Metres, BUMPER BUMPER hung in and was awkwardly placed outside the heels of FOKINE and as a consequence was not ridden out right to the line. The performance of FIGURES, which tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, FIGURES will have to perform competitively in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. FIGURES was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of FIGURES after the race did not show any significant findings. SAN LORENZO and MY CHOICE were sent for sampling. After the race, it was reported BUMPER BUMPER had bled from both nostrils.
