Racing Incident Report
COURAGEOUSHEART was withdrawn on 14.4.06 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (infection right front elbow). Before being allowed to race again, COURAGEOUSHEART will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. From a wide barrier, WHATABOB was taken across behind runners. Shortly after the start, STRONG SUN was checked when crowded for room between STABLE MAIL which shifted in slightly and AMPLE GAINS which was carried out by PACKING ANGEL. At the 1400 Metres, STABLE MAIL was steadied when awkwardly placed between PACKING ANGEL and WEALTHY TREASURE which at this time was racing tight inside THE KING. After the 1400 Metres, AMPLE GAINS was steadied away from the heels of FIVE GRAINS. Throughout the race, RUM SHOT travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground. The performances of WEALTHY TREASURE and LUCKY SIXER, which finished tailed out, were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, WEALTHY TREASURE and LUCKY SIXER will have to perform competitively in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. STABLE MAIL, AMPLE GAINS and PACKING ANGEL were sent for sampling.
