Racing Incident Report
ZONUS was slow to begin, then on jumping shifted out abruptly and lost further ground. AMSTERDAM bounded in the air at the start and lost ground. ROCKET WIN began awkwardly and bumped the inside gate of its stall. At the 1600 Metres, MULTI MILLIONS was steadied away from the heels of SHABU SHABU which shifted in slightly. AMSTERDAM, which was following MULTI MILLIONS, shifted out away from that runner. Near the 1100 Metres, TOP SCORER was carried wider by KOWLOON FIT which at this time shifted to the outside of FREEBIRD. After this, TOP SCORER travelled wide and without cover and making the Home Turn hung out. In the middle stages, ROCKET WIN proved difficult to settle. On straightening, FREEBIRD and ROCKET WIN bumped. For some distance after this, FREEBIRD raced tight inside ROCKET WIN. MULTI MILLIONS was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, MULTI MILLIONS was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucopus in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, MULTI MILLIONS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. SHABU SHABU and AMSTERDAM were sent for sampling.
