Racing Incident Report
FIRST KNIGHT was slow to begin. Shortly after the start, GREEN IDEAL was crowded for room between SOUND OF SILENCE which shifted in slightly and JADE DRAGONFLY which was carried out by MR GENKI. Near the 1200 Metres, MR GENKI was steadied and shifted out away from the heels of VICTORY CODE which after crossing MR GENKI steadied the tempo. In the middle stages, FLASH HARRY hung in. After the 700 Metres, GREEN IDEAL was steadied away from the heels of SUNRISE LINING. In the early part of the Straight, SUNRISE LINING, which was racing tight inside JADE DRAGONFLY, was awkwardly placed close to the heels of QUICK NEWS when endeavouring to shift to the outside of that horse. Near the 350 Metres, FIRST KNIGHT, which was having difficulty obtaining clear running, was shifted to the outside of VICTORY CODE to go forward, then near the 200 Metres was momentarily steadied when unable to improve between VICTORY CODE which shifted out and FLASH HARRY which shifted in. After the 100 Metres, SOUND OF SILENCE was steadied when crowded for room between JADE DRAGONFLY and QUICK NEWS which when giving ground shifted out. When being steadied, SOUND OF SILENCE made contact with the hindquarters of JADE DRAGONFLY which became unbalanced. Throughout the race, SOUND OF SILENCE travelled wide and without cover. VICTORY CODE, FIRST KNIGHT and FAST TRACK were sent for sampling.
