Racing Incident Report

ROYAL FALCON was slow to begin. Shortly after the start, EASY GAME and LUCKY CHAMPION bumped. Making the first turn, EASY GAME and SUNNY RIVIERA were steadied when crowded for room inside ROYAL FALCON (C Soumillon) which shifted in when not properly clear. C Soumillon was severely reprimanded and advised in similar circumstances he would be expected to ensure he is clear of other runners before shifting ground. Also making the first turn, FREEBIRD hung out. In the early stages, despite being hard ridden, ELEGANT KING PRAWN raced wide and without cover and as a consequence travelled around midfield. At the 1100 Metres, TRAVIANO was steadied when awkwardly placed inside LUCKY CHAMPION which shifted in momentarily. No action was taken. On straightening, TRAVIANO was steadied when crowded for room inside ELEGANT KING PRAWN. Near the 200 Metres, EASY GAME, which was commencing to close the race off, was steadied and shifted to the outside of ROYAL FALCON to obtain clear running. BRAVE KNIGHT, which was racing to the outside of EASY GAME was momentarily steadied. ELEGANT KING PRAWN was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of ELEGANT KING PRAWN after the race did not show any significant findings. LUCKY CHAMPION and LANCETTIER were sent for sampling.
