Racing Incident Report
During the preliminary, PROPELLOR lost its left fore plate. After arriving at the Start, PROPELLOR was re-plated and examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. After being boxed, SURE JOY became unbalanced and momentarily had its left hind leg caught over the barrier partition. SURE JOY was removed from its stall and examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. On jumping, FASTER FASTER and SKYVIEW BAR bumped. STRONG GAIN began awkwardly, shifted out, bumped the hindquarters of MASTER DREAMER and as a consequence lost ground. LIVERPOOLTHEGREAT was slow to begin. With the intention of being ridden quietly from a wide gate, PROPELLOR in the early stages was allowed to drift back and shift across behind runners to race on the rail but at the rear. In the early stages when travelling wide and without cover, STRONG GAIN raced greenly. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, LIVERPOOLTHEGREAT hung out and was steadied away from the heels of FASTER FASTER. After this, LIVERPOOLTHEGREAT continued to hang out for the remainder of the race and proved difficult to ride. After the 800 Metres, LUCKY FRUIT was momentarily steadied to avoid the heels of DREAM HORSE which shifted in when not properly clear. In the middle stages, SURE JOY travelled wide and without cover. Shortly after straightening, SKYVIEW BAR was steadied away from the heels of STRONG GAIN which shifted out when bumped by LUCKY FRUIT which was endeavouring to obtain running on the outside of DREAM HORSE. In the early part of the Straight, FASTER FASTER hung in and near the 300 Metres was steadied away from the heels of CIRCULAR MACHINE. At the 300 Metres, PROPELLOR, which was commencing to close the race off, was steadied and shifted out to avoid the heels of RICH FOR ALL which shifted out. In the Straight, DANEMAN HILL hung in and after the 100 Metres became unbalanced when being shifted to the outside of LUCKY FRUIT. Just prior to the winning post, E Saint-Martin (PROPELLOR) dropped his whip. STRONG GAIN was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of STRONG GAIN after the race did not show any significant findings. DREAM HORSE and LUCKY FRUIT were sent for sampling.
Additional Veterinary Reports (released on 28 November 2005)
The Veterinary Surgeon reported that CIRCULAR MACHINE was this morning found to be lame in the left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, CIRCULAR MACHINE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
