Racing Incident Report
LUCKY PACKET, which was fractious in the stalls, reared as the gates opened, bumped the inside gate of its stall and lost a considerable amount of ground. Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY PACKET will have to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. PULL NO PUNCH began awkwardly. COSMO STAR began awkwardly and lost ground. HENNESSY DAYS was slow to begin. At the 400 Metres, LUCKY PACKET was steadied and shifted out away from the heels of FRIENDS FOREVER which was giving ground. After the 400 Metres, CAPABILITY had difficulty obtaining clear running between MYTHIC STEED and ABLE MARS. After this passing the 300 Metres, CAPABILITY again had difficulty obtaining clear running between MYTHIC STEED and RAIN IN SPRING which shifted in. For a considerable distance approaching and passing the 200 Metres, COSMO STAR was unable to obtain clear running inside KID GALAXY and behind WING FOOT. At the 100 Metres, when giving ground, KID GALAXY became unbalanced when momentarily awkwardly placed close to the heels of WING FOOT. Over the concluding stages, COSMO STAR was not ridden out when racing close to the heels of BODACIOUS which shifted in away from MYTHIC STEED after having initially being carried in by that horse. The performance of PULL NO PUNCH, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, PULL NO PUNCH will have to perform competitively in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Throughout the race, ABLE MARS and MYTHIC STEED raced wide and without cover. FRIENDS FOREVER was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, FRIENDS FOREVER was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said the horse had bled from both nostrils. CAPABILITY, RAIN IN SPRING and MYTHIC STEED were sent for sampling.
