Racing Incident Report
ISLAND SPIRIT was slow to begin. NATURAL ECHO began awkwardly, bumped the outside gate of its stall and lost ground. SURVEYOR began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped CHAMPION KING. ASSET PLAY began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped LIAOBUQI. After passing the winning post on the first occasion, CHAMPION KING was steadied to avoid the heels of ASSET PLAY (Apprentice P H Lo) which shifted in when not properly clear. Apprentice Lo was advised to exercise more care. Making the turn near the 1200 Metres, FREEBIRD hung out. After the 1200 Metres, SILVER SUN became unbalanced when close to the heels of DOUBLE HAPPINESS. Near the 600 Metres, DANEHILL WARRIOR was carried wider by CHAMPION KING which at this time shifted away from the rail. Shortly after straightening, SURVEYOR was shifted to the inside of SILVER SUN to go forward, then at the 200 Metres was shifted to the outside of ASSET PLAY to continue going forward. DANEHILL WARRIOR, SILVER SUN and CHAMPION KING were sent for sampling.
