Racing Incident Report

MASTER ABLE and CONSTELLATION were difficult to load. Before being allowed to race again, MASTER ABLE and CONSTELLATION will have to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. After being boxed, MASTER ABLE kicked out and momentarily had its left hind leg caught on the partition. The horse was removed from its stall and examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. FRIENDS FOREVER and KIWI DASH were slow to begin. On jumping, CONSTELLATION stumbled, shifted out and made contact with JOY AND TREASURE. As a consequence, CONSTELLATION became further unbalanced and lost ground. After the 1000 Metres, SPOKESMAN was steadied when crowded for room between FRIENDS FOREVER which shifted out when awkwardly placed close to the heels of SPARKLE and ACE KING (C Munce) which shifted in. C Munce was reprimanded and advised to exercise more care. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, FRIENDS FOREVER continued to be awkwardly placed close to the heels of SPARKLE. In the middle stages, CONSTELLATION raced wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground. At the 400 Metres, MASTER ABLE, which was held up, was steadied and shifted in to avoid the heels of SILLY BOY which at this time endeavoured to shift to the outside of TIMBER CITY towards clear running. For some distance approaching and passing the 300 Metres, NOBLE ZOOM had difficulty obtaining clear running. CONSTELLATION was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of CONSTELLATION after the race did not show any significant findings. MASTER ABLE, TIMBER CITY and DANEFACTOR were sent for sampling.
