Racing Incident Report
WIN DANCER was withdrawn on 23.9.05 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left hind) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter PURPLE GOLD. Before being allowed to race again, WIN DANCER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. After arriving at the Start, it was noted JUST IN TIME had its tongue over the bit. This was corrected prior to the horse being reloaded. JOY TRUMPS, which was fractious in the stalls, began awkwardly and lost ground. KID GALAXY became fractious as the start was effected and consequently was slow to begin. VITAL FOUNTAIN blundered at the start and almost fell. MAXIMUM JOY, which was standing with its head turned to the left, was slow to begin. Making the first turn, POWER TICKER was bumped by JOY TRUMPS which shifted in after being bumped by KID GALAXY which itself was crowded for room when ridden along to make up ground inside MAXIMUM JOY which shifted in momentarily. When MAXIMUM JOY was shifted out to relieve the pressure it was applying to KID GALAXY, some inconvenience was caused to MILLENNIUM DAWN. After this, for the remainder of the race, MAXIMUM JOY raced wide and without cover. Also for some distance after this, JOY TRUMPS proved difficult to settle and was awkwardly placed close to the heels of JUST IN TIME. Making the turn at the 700 Metres, VITAL FOUNTAIN was crowded for room inside COSMO STAR which got its head on the side and shifted in. Also making the turn at the 700 Metres, JOY TRUMPS was bumped by HAPPY HEROES which at this time was shifted out. Making the Home Turn, HAPPY HEROES was awkwardly placed and unable to improve inside the heels of JUST IN TIME. Shortly after straightening, JOY TRUMPS was steadied when disappointed for running between MAXIMUM JOY and JUST IN TIME. In the Straight, NOBLE VICTORY hung out and proved difficult to ride. Over the concluding stages, GOLD DIGGER hung out. The performances of POWER TICKER and VITAL FOUNTAIN were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, POWER TICKER and VITAL FOUNTAIN will have to perform competitively in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. VITAL FOUNTAIN was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of VITAL FOUNTAIN after the race did not show any significant findings. KID GALAXY, GOLD DIGGER and X-SPEED were sent for sampling.
