Racing Incident Report

ONLY YOU, which was standing with its head turned to the left, began awkwardly, bumped the outside gate of its stall and consequently lost ground. Shortly after the start, BALL OF FIRE was steadied when crowded for room between BEAUTY PLUS and SUPERB which got its head on the side and shifted out. Making the turn at the 1000 Metres, GREAT IDEA got its head on the side and was steadied away from the heels of TOFFEE which shifted in slightly. A-TACK, which was following GREAT IDEA, was hampered in consequence, shifted out and bumped BEAUTY PLUS. Making the turn near the 600 Metres, BALL OF FIRE was steadied when crowded for room inside BEAUTY PLUS which got its head on the side and shifted in. B Prebble (SUPERB) said he thought he would travel in about 4th or 5th position. He said SUPERB began well, got its head up, he then rode along when racing outside TOFFEE for a short distance, however, SUPERB got its head on the side and shifted out abruptly, causing crowding on its outside. He said because of this he stopped riding SUPERB along and commenced to shift across behind runners. He said when racing in behind horses SUPERB was field shy and somewhat reluctant to stride out, as a consequence he got further back than intended. He said making the Home Turn SUPERB became unbalanced and bumped the running rail when inside the heels of KIMBO KID. The explanation of B Prebble was accepted. TOFFEE and BEAUTY PLUS were sent for sampling.
