Racing Incident Report
NOBLE SILENCE began awkwardly and got its head up. SAMBUOYANT and EGYPTIAN RA were slow to begin. Shortly after the start, EXPECTATIONS and THE KING were crowded for room between SOLAR and AMAZING VICTORY which shifted in away from DR WELL. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, EGYPTIAN RA, which was proving difficult to settle, brushed the running rail. Also making the turn at the 800 Metres, SANZIRO was momentarily steadied when crowded for room by GOLDEN SUN which shifted in. In the early part of the Straight, SOLAR, which was experiencing difficulty obtaining clear running, was shifted out, then for a short distance after the 200 Metres again had difficulty obtaining clear running on the inside of NOBLE SILENCE. For a considerable distance after the 400 Metres, EGYPTIAN RA was held up and unable to improve between MONEY STRONG and GOLDEN SUN. Then after the 200 Metres when improving between those horses, EGYPTIAN RA shifted in and caused some crowding to MONEY STRONG on its inside which was giving ground. Near the 300 Metres, SANZIRO, which had been held up and unable to obtain clear running, was steadied and shifted to the outside of AMAZING VICTORY. Approaching and passing the 200 Metres, SANBENITO had some difficulty obtaining clear running between DR WELL and THE KING which was giving ground. Throughout the race, AMAZING VICTORY raced wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground. AMAZING VICTORY was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, AMAZING VICTORY was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said he noted the horse to be "blowing" heavily. EGYPTIAN RA, CHEEKY and SOLAR were sent for sampling.
