Racing Incident Report
OCEAN TRANQUIL bounded in the air when the gates opened, then on landing stumbled and as a consequence lost ground. OCEAN TRANQUIL then hung out badly in the middle stages and particularly making the Home Turn. LUCKY STRAVINSKY, which was standing badly, began awkwardly and lost ground. Near the 1000 Metres, HAPPY SUNDAY was steadied when crowded for room between TOFFEE which shifted in slightly and LUCKY STRAVINSKY which when being ridden along to make up ground shifted out. Near the 700 Metres, ALL'S WELL was carried wider by CALCANDO which was racing greenly and when being steadied away from the heels of LUCKY STRAVINSKY shifted out. After this, CALCANDO continued to race greenly and hung out. Making the Home Turn, LUCKY STRAVINSKY hung out. Near the 100 Metres, CALCANDO and LUCKY STRAVINSKY bumped on several occasions, causing both horses to become unbalanced. In the Straight, ALL'S WELL hung out and proved difficult to ride. OCEAN TRANQUIL was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, OCEAN TRANQUIL was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said an endoscopic examination showed a significant amount of mucopus in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, OCEAN TRANQUIL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. GOOD BA BA and ALL'S WELL were sent for sampling.
