Racing Incident Report

HIMALAYA was withdrawn on 13.5.05 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore). Before being allowed to race again, HIMALAYA will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. DYNAMIC FUN was slow to begin, shifted in and bumped the hindquarters of HELENE PILLAGING. GOOD PROFIT was slow to begin and shortly afterwards was steadied when crowded for room between GEM OF INDIA which shifted out and PACKING ANGEL which was carried in by WEALTHY TREASURE. On jumping, FIGURES, which was standing with its head turned to the left, blundered. Near the 1000 Metres, DYNAMIC FUN was steadied away from the heels of PLANET RULER. Prior to straightening, GOODY was checked away from the heels of PACKING ANGEL which at this time was carried wider by DYNAMIC FUN. After this, GOODY was shifted back in towards the fence to go forward. On straightening, WEALTHY TREASURE was disappointed for running between MY CHOICE and FIGURES. For some distance after this, WEALTHY TREASURE was awkwardly placed close to the heels of FIGURES and tight inside MY CHOICE which got its head on the side and lay in. Near the 200 Metres, GOOD PROFIT, which was closing the race off strongly, had some difficulty obtaining clear running between CLASSIC MASTER and HELENE PILLAGING. Throughout the race, MY CHOICE from a wide gate raced wide and without cover. HELENE PILLAGING and GOOD PROFIT were sent for sampling. After the race, it was reported that HELENE PILLAGING had lost its left hind plate.
