Racing Incident Report
SCINTILLATION and ELECTRONIC UNICORN were slow to begin. After the 1200 Metres, PLANET RULER was steadied when crowded for room inside MY CHOICE which at this time was carried in by THE DUKE which itself was carried in by FIGURES (S Dye) which shifted when not properly clear. S Dye was reprimanded and told to exercise more care. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, THE DUKE was crowded for room inside SCINTILLATION which got its head on the side and hung in. After the 400 Metres, MERIDIAN STAR was steadied and shifted to the outside of PLANET RULER to go forward. In the Straight, SCINTILLATION hung in and proved difficult to ride. TIBER raced three wide and without cover throughout and in the Straight gave ground. TIBER and SCINTILLATION were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of TIBER and SCINTILLATION after the race did not show any significant findings. SILENT WITNESS and TOWN OF FIONN were sent for sampling.
Additional Veterinary Reports (released on 25 April 2005)
SCINTILLATION, which performed poorly, was examined by the Senior Veterinary Officer. He said at that time there were no significant findings. SCINTILLATION was again examined by the Senior Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer C S Shum this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in the right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, SCINTILLATION will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
