Racing Incident Report

FORTUNE PRINCESS and BRAVE KNIGHT were slow to begin. ZABEBE began awkwardly, shifted out and then bumped with WIN FOR ALL. Shortly after the start, OKEYDOKEY became unbalanced, blundered and lost ground. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, OKEYDOKEY became unbalanced. Making the Home Turn, ZABEBE was held up and unable to improve between REWARDING KING and tight inside GRAND FIGHTER. On straightening, ZABEBE became unbalanced and lost its footing behind. After the 50 Metres, GRAND FIGHTER and FLYING SPRINTER raced tight and brushed. Then just prior to the winning post, because of this, both Apprentice H W Lai and H K Yim were restricted in the use of their whips. G Schofield (FLAMING LAMBORGINI) said after straightening he commenced to shift to the outside of OKEYDOKEY in an attempt to find clear running. He said however as he did this OKEYDOKEY shifted out towards THE WORLD OF LOVE, he therefore steadied and shifted back to the inside of OKEYDOKEY. He said when FLAMING LAMBORGINI became balanced, he then hit the horse with the whip, it commenced to close the race off strongly, however, there was not clear running in front of him, so he put the whip away, rode along hands and heels and endeavoured to improve towards the run which became available between FLYING SPRINTER and OKEYDOKEY. He said after the 50 Metres GRAND FIGHTER and FLYING SPRINTER were racing tight towards his inside and commenced to shift out slightly, he therefore continued to ride FLAMING LAMBORGINI out hands and heels in the run to the line. ZABEBE, GRAND FIGHTER and FLYING SPRINTER were sent for sampling.
