Racing Incident Report
MAGNIFIER and HIMALAYA were slow to begin. ROOSEVELT began awkwardly and bumped the outside gate of its stall, causing the left foot of S Sanders to also come into contact with the barriers. From an awkward gate, PACKING ANGEL got its head up on jumping and was then taken across behind runners. Prior to straightening, DR MORE was checked when crowded for room outside HIMALAYA which itself was checked and shifted out away from the heels of ROOSEVELT which was giving ground. For a considerable distance after the 200 Metres, INDUSTRIAL SUCCESS was held up when unable to improve between WINTROW and LUCKY PARADISE. In the Straight, BEETHOVEN hung in. ROOSEVELT was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of ROOSEVELT after the race did not show any significant findings. SUMMERLAND and HIMALAYA were sent for sampling.
