Racing Incident Report

TOY QUEST was slow to begin. From a wide gate, SURVEYOR was immediately taken back and shifted across behind runners to a position closer to the rail. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, DREAMS COME TRUE was momentarily crowded for room inside ARMONDO. After this, DREAMS COME TRUE commenced to over-race, pulled its way forward inside the heels of ARMONDO and at the 1300 Metres was checked. Making the first turn, FREEBIRD hung out. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, ARMONDO was carried wider by FREEBIRD which shifted to the outside of the heels of VICTORY MARBLE. Making the Home Turn, SURVEYOR was awkwardly placed inside SUNRISE RAINBOW and outside the heels of TOY QUEST. On straightening, SURVEYOR was steadied and shifted to the inside of TOY QUEST which itself shifted out. In the early part of the Straight, DENDRANTHEMA LOVE hung in. After the 200 Metres, SURVEYOR, which was closing the race off strongly, was steadied and shifted to the outside of FREEBIRD to continue going forward. In the Straight, TOY QUEST was inclined to lay out. ARMONDO was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of ARMONDO after the race did not show any significant findings. FLYING SUCCESS and DREAMS COME TRUE were sent for sampling.
