Racing Incident Report

After being boxed, LUCKY GUYS became fractious and sat down behind. The horse was removed from its stall and examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who said it was suitable to race. Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY GUYS will have to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. LUCKY GUYS was then a little slow to begin. CHARIOT OF WEI HAI, with the intention to be ridden back in the field from its wide draw, began awkwardly and got its head up. BEST FOR ALL from the outside gate began awkwardly, blundered and then was taken back to race with the rear of the field. After the 1100 Metres, FRIENDSHIP became unbalanced and shifted out away from SILVERBIRD which shifted out after making contact with LUCKY DRAGON. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, LUCKY GUYS got its head on the side, hung out and was steadied away from the heels of SILVERBIRD. LUCKY DRAGON was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of LUCKY DRAGON after the race did not show any significant findings. LUCKY GUYS, SOLAR and PIONERO were sent for sampling. An inquiry into M Rodd's riding of HAPPY KID in the Straight particularly after the 200 Metres was adjourned to a date and time to be fixed.
