Racing Incident Report
BRAVE COMMANDER bounded in the air at the start, shifted in and bumped the hindquarters of CHINA WORLD. BEST FOR ALL and ACCELERATION were slow to begin. JUSTINIAN, from the outside barrier, was immediately steadied and shifted back across behind runners to a position with cover. UPPA HAND, with the intention to be ridden in a rearward position from a wide barrier, was immediately steadied on jumping, however, was obliged to race wide and without cover and was difficult to settle. Because of this after the 1200 Metres, UPPA HAND was allowed to stride forward and join the lead. After passing the winning post the first time, FLYING KENNY, which was proving difficult to settle, was crowded for room inside COULDN'T CARE LESS which was tight inside CHINA WORLD. After this, FLYING KENNY continued to prove very difficult to settle for a considerable distance. At the 1100 Metres, CHERISHED was crowded for room inside BEST FOR ALL which got its head on the side and steadied away from the heels of COULDN'T CARE LESS. Near the 500 Metres, ACCELERATION was carried wider on the track by BEST FOR ALL which shifted out. Near the 250 Metres, GOODWOOD improved into a narrow run between TELECOM SUPERBOSS and UPPA HAND. Near the 200 Metres, FLYING KENNY, which was having difficulty obtaining clear running, was steadied and shifted to the outside of TELECOM SUPERBOSS. Also near the 200 Metres, CHERISHED was steadied and shifted to the outside of CHINA WORLD into clear running. Over the final 200 Metres, COULDN'T CARE LESS and JUSTINIAN hung out. Over the concluding stages, TELECOM SUPERBOSS was steadied when crowded for room inside the heels of GOODWOOD (C Soumillon) which shifted in. C Soumillon was told in similar circumstances he would be expected to stop riding and straighten his mount. BRAVE COMMANDER was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of BRAVE COMMANDER after the race did not show any significant findings. CHERISHED and FLYING KENNY were sent for sampling.
