Racing Incident Report
CHEERFUL FORTUNE was withdrawn on 18.11.04 on veterinary grounds (bled from both nostrils). After being boxed, MULTIDANDY became fractious and got its left hind leg caught over the back gates of its stall. The horse was removed from the barriers and examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who said it was suitable to race. CAPE OF GOOD HOPE began awkwardly. Shortly after the start, SPECIAL KING PRAWN was steadied away from the heels of SCINTILLATION. In the early and middle stages, SCINTILLATION got its head on the side and was inclined to hang in. MULTIDANDY was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, MULTIDANDY was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said the horse had sustained a small laceration to the left hind pastern. SILENT WITNESS and ABLE PRINCE were sent for sampling.
Additional Veterinary Reports (released on 22 November 2004)
MULTIDANDY, which became fractious and got its left hind leg caught over the back gates of its stall, was examined by the Senior Veterinary Officer. He said at that time the horse had sustained a small laceration to the left hind pastern. MULTIDANDY was again examined by the Senior Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer A S Cruz this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to have a swollen left hind fetlock. Before being allowed to race again, MULTIDANDY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
