Racing Incident Report
KASHMAC was slow to begin. MULTI RANSOM began awkwardly. Approaching the winning post on the first occasion, JADE RUYI was steadied when crowded for room between KASHMAC and ACME OF SURPRISE which was carried in slightly by A BETTER DRAGON. After passing the winning post on the first occasion, ACME OF SURPRISE became unbalanced when awkwardly placed inside the heels of A BETTER DRAGON (O Doleuze) which shifted in when not properly clear. O Doleuze was told to exercise more care in similar circumstances. Making the first turn, PERFECT GALLANT hung out. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, BIEN BIEN HEART became badly unbalanced after bumping the running rail when crowded for room inside SPEED WINNER which at this time got its head on the side and shifted in slightly. KASHMAC, which was following, was steadied and shifted to the outside of BIEN BIEN HEART. No action was taken. At the 400 Metres, A BETTER DRAGON was steadied when awkwardly placed inside the heels of TORI TOP which shifted in slightly when giving ground. No action was taken. Shortly after straightening, KASHMAC was checked to avoid the heels of ELVIS which was giving ground. For the major part of the race, TORI TOP raced wide and without cover. G Schofield (ACME OF SURPRISE) explained he intended to ride the horse in a forward position, however, it failed to show its usual early speed and got further back than was intended. ACME OF SURPRISE was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of ACME OF SURPRISE after the race did not show any significant findings. A BETTER DRAGON, TEA FOR CHAMP and ETERNAL FUN were sent for sampling.
