Racing Incident Report

CONNOISSEUR'S LOVE, which was standing with its head turned to the right, was slow to begin. MR COOL began awkwardly and bumped the outside gate of its stall. NOBLE BOSS was slow to begin. After the 500 Metres, GOOD HEART was shifted out to avoid the heels of NOBLE BOSS which was giving ground quickly. At the 200 Metres, COSMO SUCCESS was steadied and shifted to the outside of CALIFORNIA BISHOP to obtain clear running. Y T Cheng (COSMO SUCCESS) said he had been instructed to ride the horse in midfield, however, because of the tempo of the race COSMO SUCCESS got further back than intended to race in a rearward position. VROOM VROOM, NOBLE BOSS and MR COOL were sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, NOBLE BOSS was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said the horse had a bleeding sore on its back. The performance of NOBLE BOSS, which tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, NOBLE BOSS will have to perform competitively in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of both VROOM VROOM and MR COOL after the race did not show any significant findings. AGILITY and RED POWER were sent for sampling.
