Racing Incident Report
CLASSA VICTORY was slow to begin. From a gate towards the outside, PRINCE GOLF was immediately steadied and taken back across behind runners to a position closer to the rail but worse than midfield. In the early stages, ZERO IN, which was having its first start at the course, was ridden along to go forward, then making the first turn got its head on the side and hung out, shifting wider on the track. After this, ZERO IN continued to hang out and making the Home Turn hung out badly which resulted in FAVOURITE EXPRESS which was racing to its outside being carried wider. Before being allowed to race again, ZERO IN will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial around a bend. Near the 400 Metres, FORTUNE LIFE was steadied when awkwardly placed between FORTUNE BOY and GOODWOOD. For a considerable distance approaching and passing the 100 Metres, CLASSA VICTORY (Apprentice H W Lai) was held up when attempting to improve between FAVOURITE EXPRESS and TRUST ME where there was insufficient room. Apprentice Lai was advised to ensure there is sufficient room before attempting to take runs. FAVOURITE EXPRESS and ZERO IN were sent for a clinical veterinary examination. A veterinary examination of FAVOURITE EXPRESS and ZERO IN after the race did not show any significant findings. FORTUNE BOY, FORTUNE LIFE and SHABU SHABU were sent for sampling.
