Racing Incident Report

On jumping, CONVERGENCE was bumped by GOLDEN FARM which shifted out. Also on jumping, GREAT IDEA and CRESCENDO made contact. GLOBE RIVER began awkwardly, bumped the outside gate of its stall, shifted further and bumped GOLDEN MILE which in turn shifted ground and made contact with RARE COLLECTION which as a result became unbalanced. When GLOBE RIVER began awkwardly, O Peslier, the horse's rider, became badly unbalanced and lost the use of his left stirrup for some distance. MR GENKI bounded in the air at the start. Near the 300 Metres, as GLOBE RIVER was being ridden to improve its position, GREAT IDEA (R Fradd), which had been racing forward of it and to its inside, shifted out. As a result of this, crowding was caused to GLOBE RIVER which as a result was steadied, shifted out and bumped BIG WINNER. R Fradd was told to exercise care. MR GENKI was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. A veterinary examination of MR GENKI after the race did not show any significant findings. Following the race, D Whyte (CHAMP DE UNION), which had hung out, said the horse was making an abnormal breathing noise. The horse was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said he was unable to perform an endoscopic examination. Before being allowed to race again, CHAMP DE UNION will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. TRIUMPHANT UNICORN and DOUCAI were sent for sampling.
