Racing Incident Report

WADADELIGHT and DYNAMIC COMBO were slow to begin. From the outside barrier, FORTUNE MAPLE was ridden to go forward, was unable to clear runners to its inside and at the 1000 Metres was steadied and shifted to a position closer to the rail but near the rear. From a wide barrier, in the early stages GOOD LAD raced wide and without cover. Approaching the 1000 Metre turn, HAPPY YEARS was steadied when awkwardly placed close to the heels of RECOVERY. Near the 700 Metres, EASTKOWLOON SPIRIT was steadied away from the heels of TIRAMISU. After this, EASTKOWLOON SPIRIT commenced to over-race and for some distance was awkwardly placed outside the heels of TIRAMISU. FORTUNE MAPLE, which was following, was inconvenienced. At the 500 Metres, FORTUNE MAPLE was crowded for room inside the heels of EASTKOWLOON SPIRIT and outside HAPPY YEARS which shifted to the outside of RECOVERY. Making the Home Turn, DOUCAI brushed the running rail and became unbalanced. Shortly after straightening, RECOVERY was checked when disappointed for running behind DOUCAI which shifted towards the inside of BABY KING in an attempt to obtain clear running. After the 200 Metres, RECOVERY was steadied when disappointed for running between TIRAMISU and DOUCAI which shifted out when not quite clear. Also after the 200 Metres, HAPPY YEARS was crowded for room between BUMPER SUPREME and FORTUNE MAPLE. Then close to the line, HAPPY YEARS shifted out towards the heels of FORTUNE MAPLE and consequently was not ridden out to the end of the race. Over about the final 100 Metres, WADADELIGHT, which was commencing to make some ground, was unable to obtain clear running behind BUMPER SUPREME and consequently was not ridden out as it normally would be. RECOVERY, KING'S SUCCESS and EASTKOWLOON SPIRIT were sent for sampling.
