Racing Incident Report
JADE RUYI began awkwardly and bumped the outside gate of its stall. On jumping, WATCH KING shifted out and bumped CONGEE KING which was carried wider. OH GREAT was slow to begin, then became unbalanced when bumped between AMICABLE and LUCKY LUCKY, both of which shifted ground. BARRACUDA was slow to begin. Passing the winning post the first time, SUPREME was steadied when momentarily tightened for room between WATCH KING and AMICABLE which shifted in slightly away from the heels of JUST VICTORY. Making the turn after passing the winning post on the first occasion, CONGEE KING, which was proving difficult to settle, got its head up when awkwardly placed inside the heels of SUPREME. At the 1200 Metres, WATCH KING, which was proving difficult to settle, was checked when crowded for room inside AMICABLE which had its head on the side and shifted in away from ENERGETIC PRINCE (W Smith) which had both horses racing in restricted room to its inside. CONGEE KING, which was following, was checked in consequence. Whilst the Stewards accepted AMICABLE had contributed to the incident by shifting away from ENERGETIC PRINCE, W Smith was reprimanded and told he would be expected to allow runners on his inside more room than he had on this occasion. At the 700 Metres, CONGEE KING, which was continuing to prove difficult to settle, shifted out and bumped BARRACUDA which as a result became unbalanced. At the 600 Metres, BARRACUDA was steadied away from the heels of WATCH KING which shifted out slightly when making the turn. WATCH KING then shifted further and bumped SUPREME. For some distance after the 600 Metres, WATCH KING was unable to improve when awkwardly placed close to the heels of AMICABLE. Shortly after straightening, SUPREME shifted to the outside of MISSION POSSIBLE in an attempt to go forward and in doing so bumped TIM'S TONIC. AMICABLE was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. After the race, AMICABLE was examined by the Veterinary Officer. No abnormalities were detected. JUST VICTORY and JADE RUYI were sent for sampling.
