Racing Incident Report

After arriving at the Start, S K Sit (ARROGANCE) reported to the Veterinary Surgeon that in his opinion the horse was not striding out properly behind. ARROGANCE was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and after the necessary consultations considered suitable to race. KINDRED SPIRITS was slow to begin. SEASONS KNACK began awkwardly, got its head up and bumped the inside gate of its stall. Shortly after the start, WADADELIGHT was steadied away from MASCOT TREASURE which after being a little slow to begin was taken out by GOT IT RIGHT. In the early stages, FLASH HARRY proved difficult to settle. Near the 1000 Metres, AMBITIOUS LEADER got its head up when being steadied after being momentarily crowded for room by WEALTHY TREASURE which was carried in slightly by ARROGANCE which in turn was awkwardly placed just inside the heels of SHINING DRAGON which was crossing to the lead when only just clear. In the circumstances, no action was taken. In the early part of the Straight, DOUBLE HAPPINESS had difficulty obtaining clear running when behind AURELIAN and GOT IT RIGHT which was commencing to give ground. To obtain clear running after the 400 Metres, DOUBLE HAPPINESS was shifted to the inside of ARROGANCE. After the 200 Metres, FLASH HARRY, which was giving ground, was momentarily steadied when crowded for room between KINDRED SPIRITS and FIGHTING MASCOT which shifted in slightly. AURELIAN was sent for a clinical veterinary examination and sampling. A veterinary examination of AURELIAN after the race did not show any significant findings. WEALTHY TREASURE and DOUBLE HAPPINESS were sent for sampling.
