Racing Incident Report

CLANG'S PRIDE began awkwardly, then shortly after the start was crowded for room between UNIVERSAL GLORY and STRAIGHT WIN which shifted out. HONEYBEE began awkwardly and bumped the outside of its gate. From the outside gate, BROWN BEAUTY was immediately steadied and shifted across behind runners to a position on the rail but at the rear. Near the 1000 Metres, ETERNAL FUN got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of STRAIGHT WIN as that horse shifted across to the fence in the lead. For some distance after the 800 Metres, MIGHTY HUGO was awkwardly placed tight inside the heels of CLANG'S PRIDE, then near the 700 Metres was steadied when crowded for room as a result of CLANG'S PRIDE momentarily shifting in. Just prior to straightening, EUPHORIC KID was steadied, initially shifted towards the inside of EAST OCEAN DRAGON in an endeavour to find clear running, was not able to do so and was then shifted to the outside of EAST OCEAN DRAGON. This caused some inconvenience to BROWN BEAUTY. In the early part of the Straight, ETERNAL FUN was held up and unable to obtain clear running when racing behind STRAIGHT WIN and UNIVERSAL GLORY, both of which were giving ground. To obtain clear running near the 300 Metres, ETERNAL FUN was steadied and shifted to the outside of UNIVERSAL GLORY. MIGHTY HUGO, TREASURE FIELD and EUPHORIC KID were sent for sampling.
