Racing Incident Report
After being boxed, KENWOOD MELODY became fractious, reared and got down behind. Acting on advice from the Veterinary Surgeon that KENWOOD MELODY was not suitable to race, the Stewards ordered the horse to be withdrawn. Before being allowed to race again, KENWOOD MELODY will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial. When KENWOOD MELODY reared over, PACIFIC ALLIANCE became fractious. The horse was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and after the necessary consultations was considered suitable to race. PACIFIC ALLIANCE and GREAT DELIGHT were slow to begin. When placed under pressure after the 400 Metres, GREAT DELIGHT raced greenly. D Whyte (VICTORY WARRIOR) explained after the winning post he reached down with his left hand to free the horse's number cloth which had become caught between his foot and stirrup. SUPER BROSE and VICTORY WARRIOR were sent for sampling.
