Racing Incident Report
CITI CENTRE was slow to begin and lost considerable ground at the start. On jumping, BARRACUDA was bumped by QUEEN'S GLORY which shifted out. At the 1000 Metres, SCENIC STAR was steadied and shifted out away from the heels of QUEEN'S GLORY which became unbalanced and shifted out. Making the turn after the 600 Metres until entering the Home Straight, MEHBOOB THE THIRD hung out and proved difficult to ride. On straightening, TELECOM PRINCE was steadied away from the heels of SCENIC STAR which was taken out by THISTLEJADE which shifted ground to obtain clear running and improve. In the Straight, JUST IN TIME hung out and BARRACUDA hung in. The performance of QUEEN'S GLORY, which tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, QUEEN'S GLORY will be required to perform competitively in an official barrier trial and will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. MEHBOOB THE THIRD was sent for a clinical veterinary examination and sampling. After the race, MEHBOOB THE THIRD was examined by the Veterinary Officer. No abnormalities were detected. BRAVISSIMO and JUST IN TIME were sent for sampling. Following the race, W C Marwing (CITI CENTRE) said the horse was not striding out freely. The horse was examined by the Veterinary Officer.
