Racing Incident Report

ARRIBA-ARRIBA stood flat footed and was slow to begin, then on jumping shifted in, bumped the inside of its gate, causing H K Yim, its rider, to lose the use of his right side stirrup for a short distance. ON THE TEE began awkwardly and threw its head about. Shortly after the start, HIGHLIGHT, ON THE TEE and MILLENNIUM SUPREME came together. Also shortly after the start, SUPER WONGCHOY, which had drawn an awkward gate, shifted in and bumped SAMMY TREASURE. After this, SUPER WONGCHOY was steadied and shifted across behind runners to a position closer to the rail but towards the rear. At the 1400 Metres, TWEET was steadied when crowded for room between ON THE TEE and SUPER WONGCHOY which shifted out. In the early part of the Straight, MILLENNIUM SUPREME was held up and not able to obtain clear running between GREAT KID and SAMMY TREASURE. Near the 300 Metres, MILLENNIUM SUPREME was shifted to the outside of SAMMY TREASURE and was steadied when disappointed for running between that horse and THE RICH MAN. MILLENNIUM SUPREME then shifted back to the inside of SAMMY TREASURE and was again steadied after the 200 Metres when disappointed for running as SAMMY TREASURE shifted back in slightly. In this incident, GREAT KID, which was giving ground, was also steadied. Near the 300 Metres, ON THE TEE became unbalanced after being brushed by HIGHLIGHT. After the 300 Metres, SUPER WONGCHOY, which was beginning to close the race off, was steadied and shifted to the outside of JUST TOO GOOD to obtain clear running. ALLEGRO was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. After the race, ALLEGRO was examined by the Veterinary Officer. No significant findings were made. FABULOUS and JUST TOO GOOD were sent for sampling.
