Racing Incident Report

FOOD LOVER, which was standing with its head turned to the left hand side, was slow to begin. On jumping, BRILLIANT ATTORNEY and HAPPY WINNING bumped. As a result of this, HAPPY WINNING shifted out, bumped GOOD CHANCE which in turn shifted ground and caused some inconvenience to GOLD CHARM. TOP DANCER was slow to begin. In the early stages, GOOD CHANCE was inclined to lay in and near the 700 Metres got its head on the side and shifted in away from WINNING PARADE. This caused TOP QUALITY to be crowded for room. Making the Home Turn, PRESENT TREASURE hung out. E Saint-Martin (RISING WIN) explained he had ridden the horse in some of its work leading into tonight's race and the trainer, Mr T W Leung, had told him the horse's overall work had been good. He said he was instructed to ride the horse behind the pace if possible. He said before being loaded into the barriers, RISING WIN had become stirred up and began to sweat noticeably which it did not do prior to its last race start. He said after beginning satisfactorily, RISING WIN did not show pace and from an awkward gate was obliged to race wide, in the middle stages hung out and then in the Straight failed to respond to his riding and in his opinion was very disappointing. RISING WIN was sent for a clinical veterinary examination and sampling. After the race, RISING WIN was examined by the Veterinary Officer. No significant findings were made. BRILLIANT ATTORNEY and WINNING PARADE were sent for sampling.
