Racing Incident Report
On jumping, GOLDEN GONG and PRETTY TRIO bumped. STRAIGHT WIN began awkwardly and shifted out. PERFECT SHADOW was slow to begin. In the early and middle stages, UTMOST EASY proved difficult to settle. Near the 800 Metres, MAMOUSKA brushed the running rail. On straightening, SMART HORSE endeavoured to shift to the outside of ACTIVE ACCOUNT to obtain clear running, in doing so SMART HORSE bumped STRAIGHT WIN. For some distance after this, SMART HORSE raced tight to the inside of STRAIGHT WIN. At the 300 Metres, GOLDEN GONG, which was commencing to give ground, became unbalanced when bumped by FIGHTING MASCOT which shifted to the outside of SURE FIT to obtain running and go forward. Whilst the Stewards considered the riding of R Fradd (MAMOUSKA) in the run to the line did not affect the horse's finishing position and accordingly a breach of Rule 100(2) did not occur, they did however advise R Fradd he must ride all mounts out at least hands and heels to the end of the race whenever possible. PRETTY TRIO, FIGHTING MASCOT and SURE FIT were sent for sampling.
