Racing Incident Report

GRAND DELIGHT left the gates awkwardly, shifted out abruptly and bumped GONLARGO. In the early part of the Straight, GONLARGO and HOUSEMASTER came together. Just before the 200 Metres, HOUSEMASTER shifted out slightly from GONLARGO and made contact with ELECTRONIC UNICORN. When questioned, H K Yim (PRECISION) said at the horse's last start it appeared to resent being amongst other runners, today the intention was to drop PRECISION out to the tail of the field and hope it would settle. He said when at the rear, PRECISION did travel kindly and finished the race off quite satisfactorily. R Fradd (ELECTRONIC UNICORN) explained several times during the race the horse appeared to drop the bit, he had to push it along to get it back racing. He said in the middle stages he was obliged to race to the inside of MERIDIAN STAR, but after the 800 Metres was able to shift to that horse's outside. He concluded by saying ELECTRONIC UNICORN did make ground in the Straight, but over about the last 200 Metres was in his opinion somewhat one paced. ELECTRONIC UNICORN was sent for a clinical veterinary examination and sampling. An examination of ELECTRONIC UNICORN after the race failed to reveal any abnormalities. SUPER MOLLY and DR MORE were sent for sampling.
