Racing Incident Report

The start of the race was delayed as a stirrup leather had to be replaced on the saddle being used by W C Marwing (FAST TRACK). MONTEGO GREEN left the gates very awkwardly, threw its head about and was momentarily awkward on the hindquarters of MAGNIFICENT. As a consequence of this, MONTEGO GREEN got well back. LUCKY BIRD was slowly away. MARK OF EXCELLENCE left the gates awkwardly, shifted out away from THE ONLY ONE and bumped UNIVERSAL FLAIR. In the early stages, FAST TRACK pulled very hard and approaching the 800 Metres was awkward when close to the heels of MAGNIFICENT. About the 800 Metres, MONTEGO GREEN was steadied when unable to maintain its running between FAST TRACK and SILVERBIRD. About the 500 Metres, MAGNIFICENT shifted out slightly and bumped UNIVERSAL FLAIR. Over the concluding stages, SILVERBIRD raced greenly and shifted ground. MAGNIFICENT and THE ONLY ONE were sent for a clinical veterinary examination and sampling. After the race, it was reported MAGNIFICENT had sustained a laceration to its right hind coronet band. THE ONLY ONE was examined after the race. No abnormalities were detected. BRUIN SUPREME and BORN TO WIN were sent for sampling.
