Racing Incident Report
S K Sit was fined $2,000 for accepting rides on both BARRACUDA and LEPRECHAUN TOO. It was established that he had a firm commitment for LEPRECHAUN TOO and permission was granted for W M Lai to be substituted as the rider of BARRACUDA. The explanation tendered by O Doleuze (STRAIGHT WIN) regarding his being late to the Parade Ring was accepted. WONDERFUL LIFE left the gates very awkwardly and threw its head about. On jumping, MR HAPPY and MASTER MARAUDER bumped. Also on jumping, SONG FOR SZESZE shifted out and bumped STRAIGHT WIN which in turn shifted ground and carried DONGGUAN EXCELS across the heels of MR HAPPY. In the middle stages, STRAIGHT WIN hung out. After the 800 Metres, LEPRECHAUN TOO shifted from behind FRAT RAT, this caused inconvenience to WONDERFUL LIFE and obliged that horse to race wider. When being ridden in the Straight, TIGER DAN hung out. Because of this, after the 200 Metres E Legrix stopped riding and changed the whip to his left hand. In the Straight, SONG FOR SZESZE hung out. SPLENDID BO BO and MEHBOOB THE THIRD were sent for sampling.
