Racing Incident Report
REAL WINNER left the gates very awkwardly, shifted in and bumped PARADIS which in turn shifted ground and made contact with BORN DRAGON. In the early stages, REAL WINNER proved difficult to settle, near the 800 Metres when pulling brushed with BORN DRAGON, then shifted out slightly, struck the heels of FLAMENCO STAR and knuckled. As a consequence of this, HOROSCOPE, which was following, was shifted out. Because of all the circumstances, no action was taken. Just after the 800 Metres, FLAMENCO STAR and HANDBAG DRAGON were crowded for room between HAPPY CHAMP and UNBREAKABLE (E Legrix) which was shifting over towards CHIEF IVOR (A Marcus) which after only just clearing HANDBAG DRAGON steadied up in front. JUST TOO GOOD, which was following, was checked in consequence. It was decided because of all the circumstances that no direct action was taken. However, E Legrix was told he should do all he can to protect his fellow riders. A Marcus was told should he steady up in the face of the field in this manner again, it is likely that action will be taken against him. Rounding the turn, FLAMENCO STAR and MEDIC CORPS raced tight as MEDIC CORPS was awkward just inside the heels of FLASH HARRY. In the early part of the Straight, HOROSCOPE shifted out and brushed DANEHILL WARRIOR. After the 400 Metres, as HOROSCOPE endeavoured to shift to the outside of PARADIS, it brushed the shoulder of DANEHILL WARRIOR which became unbalanced and shifted ground. After this when being ridden out, DANEHILL WARRIOR was inclined to hang in. Near the winning post, UNBREAKABLE shifted out slightly and made contact with FLASH HARRY. CHIEF IVOR, MEDIC CORPS and HOROSCOPE were sent for sampling. After the race, it was noted that UNBREAKABLE had sustained a laceration to the outside of its right front leg.
